NASCAR at Watkins Glen: Vegas odds, fantasy advice, prediction, sleepers, drivers to watch

The Big 3 will appear to keep their dominance as NASCAR heads to the second road-course race of the year: the GoBowling in the Glen 220.

Even though Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. are understandably the favorites once again, on this 2.45-mile monitor at Watkins Glen there are certain to be a couple of drivers, which one might not expect, threatening the leaders.

AJ Allmendinger has just two top-10 finishes this year, but with four top-10s in his past five races at the Glen such as a triumph in 2014, he’ll be at or near the top all day as his competitive nature plays nicely on these road courses – even if Watkins Glen is not as technically challenging as Sonoma.

Denny Hamlin might not be the same sort of sleeper pick as Allmendinger, but with five top-10 endings – including four in the top 5 in his last five road-course races – the 37-year-old needs to be optimistic he could catch his first win of this season in New York on Sunday.
