Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood start strongly in European Tour finale

After making a bogey-free return to action in the DP World Tour Championship jon Rahm reaped the rewards of a six-week break from competitive golf.
The Spaniard, among five players going into the season finale with a possibility of winning the Race to Dubai, published six birdies in an opening-round 66 at Jumeriah Golf Estates.
Rahm – third at the season-long standings – stays with the entire world No 5 sense the benefits off under and over three shots of ancient pacesetter Mike Lorenzo-Vera along in third spot on six.
Really great, even though I tried my best to mess it up on the last hole, Rahm told Sky Sports. Out of all those six months, the majority of the initial five werent touching a club.
Pleased with how Im performing. I might tell just how rested I was mentally on some pockets I remained with that positive attitude and never got down . I am hoping I will keep playing strong and maintain it for another 3 days.
Plenty of people are playing great. It is likely to be a fascinating week, so hopefully I can continue playing good and provide Rory [McIlroy] and Mike [Lorenzo-Vera] a run for their money
Closest standings, fleetwood, followed his victory at last weeks Nedbank Golf Challenge into a 67.
You can only put yourself from it day one, Fleetwood said. There is a ton longer to do, there is 54 holes today. There are players around and all I can do is do my own stuff.
Ive got three days of work , really, before the conclusion of the year. Just should get the most out of them, remain really present, continue my best to every golf shot and determine how we could put on.
Wiesberger temporarily dropped off aggressively spot in the ranks after playing his first 10 holes in one over, only to birdie three of the final eight and sign for an 70.
You go out there and it feels just a little bit like a Sunday for some reason, however, it is just the very first day, Wiesberger explained. It is still a long week ahead but it feels in case you head out there, No. 1 and two, it feels as if you are in a Sunday shootout in ways, but its not.
Theres still 54 holes ahead of us and lots can happen, therefore hoping to take the good with the evil and we get a couple golf score and breaks low the upcoming few days
