Ryan Kent injures hamstring in Rangers’ win over Livingston

Rangers director Steven Gerrard have to wait to see how extended Ryan Kent would be out of action after he had been injured to Livingston.
Kent, who joined the Gers out of Liverpool on transit day in a deal worth up to #7.5mimpressed on loan at Ibrox last year and has been named PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year.
But he lasted only 41 minutes before coming off with a hamstring injury, to be replaced by registering Brandon Barker, who went on to score his first goal for the club.
The appears set to miss the Scottish Premiership game with St Johnstone on September 22, in Addition to Thursday’s Europa League game with Feyenoord.
Kent will be evaluated from the week and Gerrard admitted his absence will be a blow.
“He’s got a hamstring [difficulty ] and we will take a look at this in the coming days and find out how awful it is,” Gerrard said later they arrived from a goal-down to overcome Livingston.
“Hopefully it isn’t as bad, hopefully it’s OK and it isn’t a really serious one. We’ll know in a couple of days.
“It’s a blow for us we needed it to be all about Ryan now but it was not to be. But we have enough bodies enough talent to deal without him”
Despite dropping Kent Gerrard had been pleased with the donation made by his replacement.
“The plan was always for Ryan to go 60 and Brandon to go 30, and that I put it on all my match-winners at half-time and stated’go-on – go and win the soccer game’, he informed the Rangers site.
“I believed Brandon did really well and took his goal very well, and I will do his optimism great. He can build on that.”
